The Neville tomb in Durham Cathedral is heavily damaged and eroded by time, reflecting the Buddhist concept of Impermanence. I sat and watched people moving from the tomb towards the Rose window which shone with light. The organ played in the background.
I did a similar drawing about impermanence in Lincoln Cathedral a few months earlier..
